Exactly as described, easy enough to put together, sturdy. Wendy. Belfast, GB. Sun Sep 14 2025

This wooden hedgehog house provides shelter for hedgehogs and gives them places to hibernate during the winter and out of harm's way. This is especially relevant nowadays as studies have shown that hedgehogs tend to nest in bonfire stacks before they are lit; with tragic results. Made from untreated wood, these houses are ideal for hedgehogs as treated wood emits fumes that they can't handle. The house has a small opening at the front so the hedgehog can get in easily. Predators, such as foxes, however, stand no chance at getting inside. The roof is made of high-quality bitumen keeps the house rainproof as the hedgehog rests safely inside.

Looks good but hadn't realised I needed to put it together. This needs to be stressed. Good value. Gillian. Appleby Magna Swadlincote, GB. Sat Jan 25 2025

I love this little hutch and so do the bunnies! It is a bit small for two average sized rabbits so I also bought the pet pen to give them more room. The materials match the hutch exactly. Apart from being a joy to watch, ladybirds are extremely useful creatures. An adult ladybird eats over 100 aphids per day, which is a good reason to make it comfortable in your garden. The ladybird house is designed to allow ladybirds to shelter whilst keeping out other likely inhabitants or predators and that ladybirds can access it easily. Ladybirds often hibernate in clusters and it is advisable to put some leaves or a corrugated carton roll inside to make them feel at home. Also frozen ladybird larvae can be put into this house for biological control of aphids.

Looks very nice, but the ladybirds have not used it so far, even though they usually come every year to hibernate.. H. London, GB. Wed Sep 18 2024

On beautifully hot and sunny days in summer you will see butterflies everywhere. On cold days, however, they keep in hiding. This house is the ideal hiding place for butterflies to seek shelter in cold and wet weather conditions. To keep the butterflies happy, stuff a handful of twigs into the house. Butterflies will hang onto the twigs when using the house.

Haven’t had any butterflies in it yet, but still love it.. Sarah. Portsmouth, GB. Sun Jun 07 2020

Beehive volume: 40 Liter (8.8 UK gallons). This beehive is a classic home for honey bees. The traditional method for heath-beekeepers (since 1900) has been to use hand-woven straw. The straw beehive is the precursor of the wooden beehives. Heath-beekeepers frequently move their beehives to heath land areas where there are flowering nectar plants and prefer to use this type of beehive as they are lightweight and easy to move. This beehive can provide a home for bees in a simple, quick and inexpensive way.
