Hand-woven carpet Ettal - More sustainability is not possible! The hand-woven carpet Ettal is ecologically thought through from front to back. That is why it has also received the GOTS seal, which stands for ecology and social responsibility and is only awarded under strict conditions. The Ettal is evenly and finely woven and, together with the organic cotton warp thread - normal hand-woven carpets have a jute warp thread - looks very noble. The organic virgin wool used comes exclusively from Europe and New Zealand and is obtained and processed in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. To ensure that the hand-woven carpet Ettal looks beautiful for a long time, it is rolled. Fulling is a finishing process in which the yarn is worked with warm water until it almost no longer fluffs. Since we want to take the ecological idea further, we have changed our shipping system and send our hand-woven carpets only folded in sturdy cardboard boxes instead of plastic.
