Some people have said it’s scratchy in their reviews. I didn’t find that at all. It’s soft for this type of rug. Also, sure, it has a slight two-tone to it but overall it’s a nice basic beige/cream. I’m not sure I would call it ivory….or at least if you’re looking for something that is 100% uniform with no variation in color, this may not be for you, but it’s a nice solid rug.

Photos are horribly misleading. This rug is very grey in person. Here is the closeup of the actual rug vs the photos online. I’m not going to even unroll it. Returning, do not purchase unless you want a grey rug.

While the texture and color of the rug are what I thought they would be, I am very disappointed to have received a damage piece. Parts of the rug are coming undone, there are stains, little debris stuck in the fibers. I know there is some pilling and shedding of wool rugs however, I spent over 400 on this rug so I expect it to at least look new! This is the second time Wayfair has sent me something that is damaged, and I’m very disappointed. It’s a 9 x 12 rug and weighs about 50lbs so returning it should be an equally horrible experience.

Ordered this rug for our living room — had one water spill on it and it’s released an AWFUL odor that smelled up the whole house… I’ve not seen any other reviews mention this. But buyer beware that whenif rug gets wet… it’s smells like wet animal (a mix between wet farm animal and cat litter is the best way to describe it). We had to put the rug in the garage until shipping it back the smell was so unbearable. Sending it back but such a bummer because it a beautiful rug. Note this is the first time I’ve ever had a wool rug... so maybe this was something I just didn’t know about wool. But no warning or directions to not* use water on it for any reason. As a living room rug you’d expect spills at some point…
