Lamberta Ikat Jute / Sisal Hand Woven Area Rug

Love this rug. Green is a very soft green, and its pretty thick for an inexpensive rug.

Arrived and was lovely but image a bit deceptive of size and colours lighter. Also not a soft rug! For hallways and conservatories only

Cushions we bought were true to colour in picture so fitted in perfectly, excellent service and I have told friends about the great quality and service for those and will use site again for those kind of items. Alas. the rug is not what we expected. Our house is being refurbished and we are trying to match the colour of the decor and green/gold would have been perfect. My husband was away on business when rug arrived so I put it down and left it on floor till he returned. I liked the green/gold if it had just been those colours but from certain angles I noticed brown splodges which looked like dirty marks. Then I realised that these brown bits were part of the pattern. My husband came home and didn't like the colour or the rather knotted texture when we had thought it would have been a bit smoother. It is not comfortable to walk on but we could put up with that. Everyone whose opinion we have asked have made comments like, " it looks like muddy rainwater has leaked on it" 'It looks like dogs with muddy paws have walked on it" , 'spilt coffee on it?' or ' it looks like army camouflage with that brown on it". As it has been on floor for three days, I guess that is classed as used, and when we looked at returns policy we thought paying shipping fees to return it would be throwing good money after bad. We really don't like it and this is an expensive mistake. Our son is actually a professional photographer for an e-commerce quality fashion company so we know the score on how careful companies are to get the quality of the photograph right. I think we have to put this awful rug down to a very expensive mistake. If I could have seen something else with a true colour I would have asked to exchange it but there is nothing which looks quite right. In hindsight it would have been better to go to a shop and actually see the colour and texture for such an item so important to the room. My mistake. But I would definitely recommend Wayfair for anything else and as I say the cushions were exactly as they looked on screen and look amazing.
