Loved this even we first got it. It’s been less than 5 months, and it looks like it’s 10 years old. I vacuum weekly, and has steam cleaned it twice. It’s just not made well, unfortunately.

It’s difficult to find a contemporary designed rug. This is an “artificially aged” traditional style, so it’s less defined and more of a blotchy mix of black, white and gray shades. It goes well on my gray wood plank floor, and with my slightly lighter gray walls. These neutrals are a great background for the artwork in the hall, and as a lead in to each of the 4 rooms that open from that hallway. This is not a plush, thick pile. I knew that it was only 14”. In an effort to prevent a tripping hazard, I purposely selected this rug knowing that. I previously bought the cut to size, non slip padding. It makes it safer, keeps the rugs in place, and adds just a bit of cushion. Perfect marriage! I would certainly buy more from this wonderful Turkish manufacturer. Great bargain, great look!
