The color of this rug is perfect. Fit's very well with my dark floors and gray walls. For some reason, Wayfair doesn't specify the material of the rug so I will do so for you - 100% POLYPROPYLENE (and its pretty soft to the touch)

My dog had a large accident on the carpet and clean-up was very easy - definitely worth the price right there. Rug is actually a lot lighter in tone than in picture, which makes it seem dark. Overall, I am pleased.
