The backing seemed to be mede of a thin layer off foam which made me feel it would not be good for outdoors or if it gets wet (durability). Time will tell but it’s very solid and when you step on to the scrapper mat you fell the benefit of the flexible base layer. I am very happy after the few days I have used the item and would recommend it. It was also delivered in a well packaged and protected outer packaging.. Margaret. Newry, GB. Wed Oct 06 2021
