The area rug is pretty- very thin, and provides near to no cushion. I got a nice thick rug pad which definitely helps, but I imagine this rug would slide around a lot without a padrug tape. I taped all of the short ends as well as about 2 feet from each corner, and I still notice that the long edge lifts and is prone to being tripped over if not careful.
