The handmade flokati rug in natural wool is woven in the classic Greek tradition with 1.5 kilos of wool per square meter. Slight deviations in colour, dimensions, and weight are due to the production of this natural product. New wool is dirt-repellent and hard-wearing but tends to fluff. Do not vacuum off the wool fluff, but step on it. The formation of fluff decreases over time due to the matting of the surface. For smooth subfloors, you should use a carpet underlay

Some people have said it’s scratchy in their reviews. I didn’t find that at all. It’s soft for this type of rug. Also, sure, it has a slight two-tone to it but overall it’s a nice basic beige/cream. I’m not sure I would call it ivory….or at least if you’re looking for something that is 100% uniform with no variation in color, this may not be for you, but it’s a nice solid rug.. Mark. Please note: This is a natural fibre rug. Depending on the batch of wool, the colour and pattern always differ slightly from the illustration. Thanks to its calm, neutral colours, this flat-woven wool rug will bring a lot of cosiness into your home. This hand-woven rug is very simple and looks good in any room thanks to its natural colour scheme. It is very easy to care for and can be vacuumed with a flat nozzle. When you use the rug for the first time, ruffles may form. Please do not pull them out, but instead cut off the overhanging wool threads with scissors. To do the Rug a favour and extend its lifespan, the rug should be used on both sides. In addition, the rug should be turned occasionally. You should use an underlay on smooth floors.
