This is a lovely chunky rug but I wouldn't really call it brown. It's more like a dark grey bordering on black. It has quite a cool tone, which doesn't work if you were looking for a warm chocolatey brown rug (like me!). Apart from the colour which is actually fine but not what I was looking for, I do quite like it. It's quite thick and and a decent weight which I'm hoping means it won't shift about when walked on. I attach a picture in which I've tried to capture the colour.. Caroline. Camborne, GB. Tue Jul 07 2026

This runner matched perfectly with my sisal wool stairs carpet. I was looking for something with a black trim also as I have some black on the banisters. Great quality and arrived quickly and well wrapped. First experience with Wayfair and won’t be my last. Updated Slightly reduced my rating as there is potential for the wool to come loose. I had to trim a strand. Hoping it doesn’t start fraying.. Lesley. Dublin. Fri Jan 24 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the size is great just what we wanted. and with it being jute it’s a little rough and i won’t keep it in this space. but its very thin and did roll flat right away. however the reason im not giving it five stars is solely due to its not a true grey it has a green tint. the quality truly isn’t worth the price.. The Gabbeh loom carpet is a handmade carpet that carries bright colours. Mostly you can recognize the Gabbeh rugs by the coarse weaving technique and the animal motifs, which are worked into the carpet. The sheep and goat wool is processed with natural and strong dyes. The Gabbeh belongs to the carpets that were made by nomads and used for several purposes. The Gabbeh carpet is despite the coarse weave / loom a very soft carpet and fits wonderfully in the bedroom, hallway, and living room. The popularity of Gabbeh carpets increased enormously in the 90s.
