This runner matched perfectly with my sisal wool stairs carpet. I was looking for something with a black trim also as I have some black on the banisters. Great quality and arrived quickly and well wrapped. First experience with Wayfair and won’t be my last. Updated Slightly reduced my rating as there is potential for the wool to come loose. I had to trim a strand. Hoping it doesn’t start fraying.. Lesley. Dublin. Fri Jan 24 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the size is great just what we wanted. and with it being jute it’s a little rough and i won’t keep it in this space. but its very thin and did roll flat right away. however the reason im not giving it five stars is solely due to its not a true grey it has a green tint. the quality truly isn’t worth the price.. Needed a jute type rug to match hardwood floor in family room and not compete with its area rug. Looked for a long time and took a risk on this one as colors are so hard to tell on the internet. It was also available in the rare 9x6 size. Turned out perfect! Also appreciate buyer’s reviews with pictures as it helped me with the color.. Donna. Plainfield, IL. Thu Dec 07 2023

Sisal is known for its strong, durable, and hardwearing properties, making our Sisal rugs the ideal rug to put in any high-traffic areas such as your hallway, living room, and kitchen. With a woven construction and classic border in a complementary colour, this Sisal rug will add style and comfort to any area of your home. Choose from a range of four colours. Due to the latex backing, these rugs don’t need any underlay added. Regular vacuuming with a strong brush suction is all that is needed for daily care of sisal and seagrass carpets. The beater-type cleaner is not as effective due to the weave. The strong suction of the vacuum pulls out the fine dirt which has accumulated between the fibers. Sisal is super absorbent and will hold onto liquids. If a wet sisal rug doesn't dry completely, it can develop mold and mildew so it's important to use as little water as possible when cleaning. If your sisal rug does end up getting wet, allow it to dry completely before placing it back on the floor. How to dry clean your sisal rug 1. Begin by sprinkling baking soda or corn flour on top of the rug. 2. Leave the powder to sit on the rug for about one hour in order to absorb all the dirt.3.Shake the rug to remove excess powder.4.Afterwards, use the upholstery brush to vacuum the rug.

Returning rug. Badly manufactured with binding running off from sisal grain resulting in rug not lying flat, misshapen and visually poor. Maybe I was just unlucky and got the duff one.. Anonymous. Fri Nov 10 2023

This rug was tiny!! I thought I could use it as a runner for my hall way, but it’s more of a door mat. Not a rug at all!! Although it is very well made. Anonymous. Pershore, GB. Wed Jun 17 2020

This is a lovely chunky rug but I wouldn't really call it brown. It's more like a dark grey bordering on black. It has quite a cool tone, which doesn't work if you were looking for a warm chocolatey brown rug (like me!). Apart from the colour which is actually fine but not what I was looking for, I do quite like it. It's quite thick and and a decent weight which I'm hoping means it won't shift about when walked on. I attach a picture in which I've tried to capture the colour.. Caroline. Camborne, GB. Tue Jul 07 2026

Ready to welcome in a little warmth to farmhouse or coastal cottage floors, this area rug is everything you’ve been searching for. Handmade by skilled artisans from natural jute and sisal (known for their resistance to stains and normal wear), this textural flatweave design has a natural and rust-coloured pattern with a subtly distressed finish that gives it all the charm of a well-loved antique. Why don’t you put it in a neutrals-filled nursery or let its personality shine through in an eclectic living room? Something to consider: Though this rug’s 1.27cm pile gives it plenty of padding underfoot, we recommend you pair this piece with a rug pad to help it stay put. And when it comes to upkeep, regular vacuuming is recommended, but please avoid using a beater bar or rotating brush. When it’s ready for deep cleaning, just leave it to the professionals.
