This is a great rug for the price - ordered the runner 80x220 for our kitchen. It's not soft to touch but also not super rough, seems to handle splashes well. This rug has been hand made on traditional handlooms in India and it is entirely from Jute vegetable fibre, which makes this rug strong and durable. Jute fibre is also considered to be the most environmentally friendly fibre at it is easily recyclable at the end of the product's lifetime.
