We bought this rug as we liked this and another one. We ended up sending this back , not because it wasn’t nice , it’s just the colours were slightly more pronounced than we had thought , so whilst it had a faded vintage feel to it , some areas were slightly too rich for us , but that’s personal preference. It felt robust and heavy enough for what we were looking for. We didn’t wash it , so cannot comment on that. A nice all round rug , just not what we wanted in the end, we preferred another one.. Really are washable.. come out creased but they drop out after a while.. beginning to show signs of wear at the edges but am pleased with them overall .. we have dogs so they probably get put in the machine a bit more often than perhaps otherwise might be the case so the edges wearing is maybe to be expected.. in a nutshell they have been good value and still look good!. Yarns are deliberately dyed unevenly to add old-world character to the collection’s classic Persian and Turkish designs. Vacuum regularly to prevent dust and crumbs from settling into the roots of the fibers. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening piles. Do not pull loose ends; clip them with scissors to remove them. Turn the carpet occasionally to equalize wear.

This rug is very thin, but that is what I wanted. I bought 3 different sizes for my kitchen and sunroom. I love the colors. My only negative is that they have a nap, kind of like velvet. From one ongle they look dark and another they look light. That means when you sweep or even walk across them, you see light and dark patches. I really like this rug. It’s pretty pink, which is what I wanted. I had another rug in this space that was much more neutral and muted, so this really changes the look of the room and brightens it up. My other rug was also a bit thicker and squishier- I knew this one would be much flatter and I’m ok with it. I like the feel of it. Shipping was timely, got it within a week and it arrived with no problems. There was a slight smell, like a chemical type smell- totally expected since it was all rolled up. It faded over 3 days or so. I kept a ceiling fan on at night to help it dissipate faster. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it’s a tiny bit slick. Not that I’ll be slipping on it or anything. It’s probably because of the synthetic nature of the fiber (think of nylon or polyester) and I’m used to more wool rugs that have a different feel.
