I have a very pale kitchen floor and two dogs - not very compatible in the winter with muddy paws. This mat fits beautifully inside my back door, provides a stylish but low key contrast to the pale floor and ensures that muddy pawprints are dealt with effectively. This handwoven rug is rustically playful! Only the finest multi-stage carded virgin wool from New Zealand and Europe is used for the handwoven rug. Carding is an elaborate process in which different shades of wool are mixed by combing to create a uniform colour. The more often the process is used, the more even the shade. Since it is rolled, it hardly fluffs at all. During fulling, the yarn is treated with water and heat, which closes the surface of the yarn. Due to its intricate rustic structure, the hand-woven rug looks lively and gives the room a romantic rustic ambience.
