Large Easy Care Outdoor Fair Trade Rugs

This rug is a little more Shabby Elegance than others that we offer but they are of great value. If you are a hippy or a hippy chick you will probably love them. Cover a huge space for very little money or fill that little gap in the porch. Conceal a tired-looking floor under bright colours or spread them out in your tent. These rugs are great for bringing a splash of colour to your home or camping adventure. They are hand-loomed in India with multi-coloured fabric so everyone is different - and the fact that they are made with recycled materials is a great touch! Remember that the random fabric content means that they should be treated as non-colour fast especially if they have become damp - so please take care to avoid colour transfer onto other surfaces.

The rug is more multi-colored than "red/orange" as described, but it's big, cheap, washable, sustainable, and it keeps our feet warm, so we're keeping it.. Nina. Cork, IE. Wed Oct 12 2022

The Dhaka rug is named for the district in West Bengal where jute is farmed. This sustainable vegetable fibre is sometimes referred to as golden fibre and you can see why! Jute comes from one of the fastest-growing plant types and its long, strong fibres make it ideal for weaving. Many of our eco-friendly ranges use jute but, in the Dhaka range, it has been woven with braided detail.

It’s what I wanted under my breakfast table. Lovely jute braided rug.. Anonymous. Sat Apr 08 2023

A little change from our normal bright colours! Welcome to our hush range of rugs - a range of gorgeous subtle colours which will bring understated style to your home. They are hand-loomed in India with recycled cotton and a random cross stitch which breaks up the colour nicely. Every rug is made by good weave-certified producers. They are uniquely labelled and numbered so you can be assured of authenticity and an ethical source free from a child or forced labour.
