This is a lovely chunky rug but I wouldn't really call it brown. It's more like a dark grey bordering on black. It has quite a cool tone, which doesn't work if you were looking for a warm chocolatey brown rug (like me!). Apart from the colour which is actually fine but not what I was looking for, I do quite like it. It's quite thick and and a decent weight which I'm hoping means it won't shift about when walked on. I attach a picture in which I've tried to capture the colour.. Caroline. Camborne, GB. Tue Jul 07 2026

The Gabbeh loom carpet is a handmade carpet that carries bright colors. Mostly you can recognize the Gabbeh rugs by the coarse weaving technique and the animal motifs, which are worked into the carpet. The sheep and goat wool is processed with natural and strong dyes. The Gabbeh belongs to the carpets that were made by nomads and used for several purposes. The Gabbeh carpet is despite the coarse weave / loom a very soft carpet and fits wonderfully in the bedroom, hallway, and living room. The popularity of Gabbeh carpets increased enormously in the 90s.

The handmade flokati rug in natural wool is woven in the classic Greek tradition with 3 kilos of wool per square meter. Slight deviations in colour, dimensions, and weight are due to the production of this natural product. New wool is dirt-repellent and hard-wearing but tends to fluff. Do not vacuum off the wool fluff, but step on it. The formation of fluff decreases over time due to the matting of the surface. For smooth subfloors, you should use a carpet underlay.

Was not sure when receiving it looked like shrunk jumper hard hair also said not for walking on after one day I got used to it it is different and can live with it now. Gillian. Mon Aug 23 2021

We only use high-quality new wool from New Zealand and Europe. We use New Zealand wool for the light base tone. The mélanges in grey and beige/brown are created by adding darker European new wool. The yarn core and the warp are made of jute. In order not to produce unnecessary plastic waste, the Rugs are sent in robust boxes. In this way, we can drastically reduce the use of environmentally harmful plastic films. The Rug can be used on both sides and should be turned and rotated regularly. In this way, it will be used evenly and will retain its beautiful appearance for a long time. Please vacuum the Rug only with the flat nozzle, without the rotating brush.
