The sheep's and goat's wool is processed with natural and strong dyes. The Gabbeh is one of the rugs that were made by nomads and used for several purposes. Despite the coarse weave / loom, the Gabbeh rug is very soft and fits wonderfully into the bedroom, hallway and living room. The popularity of Gabbeh rugs increased enormously in the 90s.

The quality of the rug is better than I'd expected. It's thick and quite heavy. I also believe it has more variation in shade than it appears to on the website - which is a good thing. It's much easier to tone in with other yellows in the room.. Anonymous. Mon Jul 17 2023
