It is soft and warm. Looks quite good, our living room looks much cosier with it. Although I wish the details of the pattern were smaller and finer, as the rug in my opinion would look more expensive. Anyway, I am very happy with the purchase, we have a small child so it does not make sense to buy now a more expensive rug. It sheds quite a bit of hair, hopefully it will stop soon.
