We bought this rug as we liked this and another one. We ended up sending this back , not because it wasn’t nice , it’s just the colours were slightly more pronounced than we had thought , so whilst it had a faded vintage feel to it , some areas were slightly too rich for us , but that’s personal preference. It felt robust and heavy enough for what we were looking for. We didn’t wash it , so cannot comment on that. A nice all round rug , just not what we wanted in the end, we preferred another one..
