This does the job well! It is a flat rug, with no pile, which has a mottled, shaded appearance to the weave, which softens its appearance and make it look pleasantly aged, rather than looking crisp and contrasting. I have used this rug in a area of heavy traffic (right by the kitchen door) for about 9 months. It has a tendency to move over the course of a three or four days (it sits on carpet) and needs tweaking back into position. It also has curled up slightly at one of the edges, which makes it less smart than it might be - but we do walk on it a lot!. Rachel. London, GB. Fri Nov 24 2017
