More than anything else, area rugs are art for your floors: They create the mood of your decor, guide the layout of your furniture, and establish a colour scheme to follow (or rebel against). A new rug can, and will, dramatically change a room – the fun part is picking the one you love! This one for example: is handwoven in a geometric pattern in a beige and yellow colour palette. It is crafted from jute and cotton. To clean this piece, we recommend professional cleaning when needed.

The perfect anchor for a breezy seating group or dining room ensemble, this understated sisal area rug lends a touch of simple sophistication to any space. Let it be the foundation for a glass-topped coffee table in the living room, then outfit the ensemble with clean-lined linen sofas, striped armchairs, and weathered chests to round out your aesthetic in style. For an added dash of nautical appeal, top off your tabletops with weathered buoy accents and muted floral bouquets, then add striped Fouta blankets and sail flag-inspired throw pillows around the seating group for a dash of marina-worthy flair. If you're outfitting your dining room, simply set this rug under a weathered table, then arrange burlap runners and navy blue placemats to complement the neutral maize and linen tones. For a final finishing touch, try hanging down a trio of Mason jar-inspired pendants for vintage charm, then arrange rope-wrapped hurricanes and candle holders for a flickering and fashionable centrepiece.

Start by suspending a polished silver chandelier overhead to cast a warm and welcoming glow, use a cherry console table to put a few framed family photos on display, and finally roll out this Benedetti Rug for a fine foundation. One sure way to elevate a room in no time at all is with a characterful wool area rug like this one: The linework has an eye-catching motif that anchors the space in a pattern, but with a neutral palette that’s easy to work with. We love how the blue and ivory geometric pattern makes for a great contrast against dark farmhouse floors in a traditional living room or coastal cottage dining room, and the subtly distressed finish gives it that lived-in charm of a reclaimed, flea-market find. Picture it in a neutrals-filled office or let its personality shine through in a traditional Southern living room. Something to consider: Though this rug’s pile provides plenty of padding underfoot, we recommend you pair this piece with a rug pad to help it stay put. When it comes to upkeep, regular vacuuming is recommended, but please avoid using a beater bar or rotating brush. When it’s ready for deep cleaning, just leave it to the professionals.

The handmade flokati rug in natural wool is woven in the classic Greek tradition with 1.5 kilos of wool per square meter. Slight deviations in colour, dimensions, and weight are due to the production of this natural product. New wool is dirt-repellent and hard-wearing but tends to fluff. Do not vacuum off the wool fluff, but step on it. The formation of fluff decreases over time due to the matting of the surface. For smooth subfloors, you should use a carpet underlay

Sisal is known for its strong, durable, and hardwearing properties, making our Sisal rugs the ideal rug to put in any high-traffic areas such as your hallway, living room, and kitchen. With a woven construction and classic border in a complementary colour, this Sisal rug will add style and comfort to any area of your home. Choose from a range of four colours. Due to the latex backing, these rugs don’t need any underlay added. Regular vacuuming with a strong brush suction is all that is needed for daily care of sisal and seagrass carpets. The beater-type cleaner is not as effective due to the weave. The strong suction of the vacuum pulls out the fine dirt which has accumulated between the fibers. Sisal is super absorbent and will hold onto liquids. If a wet sisal rug doesn't dry completely, it can develop mold and mildew so it's important to use as little water as possible when cleaning. If your sisal rug does end up getting wet, allow it to dry completely before placing it back on the floor. How to dry clean your sisal rug 1. Begin by sprinkling baking soda or corn flour on top of the rug. 2. Leave the powder to sit on the rug for about one hour in order to absorb all the dirt.3.Shake the rug to remove excess powder. 4. Afterwards, use the upholstery brush to vacuum the rug.

Some people have said it’s scratchy in their reviews. I didn’t find that at all. It’s soft for this type of rug. Also, sure, it has a slight two-tone to it but overall it’s a nice basic beige/cream.
