It's power-loomed from polyester, and it has a high pile height that's the ideal pick for low-traffic areas like your bedroom or home office. It's machine-washable, so it's a cinch to keep clean. Just be sure to hang it on the line to dry. Even though this rug has a canvas backing, they recommend pairing it with a rug pad (sold separately) to keep it from shifting underfoot.
