This rug has been hand made on traditional handlooms in India and it is entirely from Jute vegetable fibre, which makes this rug strong and durable. Jute fibre is also considered to be the most environmentally friendly fibre at it is easily recyclable at the end of the product's lifetime.

No smell and I layed it upside down for half the day and it was almost perfectly flat when I flipped it around. Slight curling on one side that can easily be fixed with some double sided tape.. Overall I am very pleased with this rug. It is definitely nice quality and beautiful. It’s a jute rug so it has gotten some snags/pulls in it since I got it a few months ago. The rug is in my living room so I think it’s kind of inevitable unless you place this rug somewhere it will never be walked on. I really don’t mind it anyway, it gives the room and rug a “lived in” feel.
