The handwoven plain wool rug is an absolute trendsetter in the field of natural living. This sustainable rug is made of high-quality tumbled virgin sheep's wool in the pile and the indestructible jute core not only scores with its natural, renewable raw materials, but also impresses with its high durability.
Since the spun wool of the alpine carpet is washed in a special process, the horny scales of the wool hair get caught and thus form the typical abrasion-resistant surface of the carpet. The wool remains pleasantly soft and non-slip but is more abrasion-resistant and lint-free than with a cut pile. This means that the alpine rug can be used on both sides and is not only ideal for the living room, dining room, and bedroom but it can also be used in heavily used areas of the house, such as the hallway or children's room.
Despite its compact surface, the Alpen rug is suitable for underfloor heating
The high-quality virgin sheep's wool in the pile also helps to improve the room climate. This rug is still woven by hand according to the old master craftsmanship in Greece. Therefore, special dimensions can also be made on request.
This plain rug is available in 12 different, harmonious colours, so you can find the right colour complement for the floor with the alpine rug. Since the wool always absorbs colour in different intensities, slight colour nuances between the colour and the natural tone of the wool are preserved during weaving and fulling. As a result, the monochrome of the alpine rug looks subtle but never gets boring.
The Alpine wool rug is an ultra-modern rug that puts you in a good mood!
