What’s old is new again in Bloomsbury Market’s Emmie collection of rugs. This collection is inspired by the trend of recycling old carpets and over-dyeing them in brilliant colors to camouflage stains and flaws. Each rug is power-loomed in Belgium of 100 percent organic viscose yarn in a low-cut pile to recreate the threadbare appearance of worn vintage carpets. Yarns are deliberately dyed unevenly to add old-world character to the collection’s classic Persian and Turkish designs. Vacuum regularly to prevent dust and crumbs from settling into the roots of the fibers. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening piles. Do not pull loose ends; clip them with scissors to remove them. Turn the carpet occasionally to equalize wear.

This rug is very thin, but that is what I wanted. I bought 3 different sizes for my kitchen and sunroom. I love the colors. My only negative is that they have a nap, kind of like velvet. From one ongle they look dark and another they look light. That means when you sweep or even walk across them, you see light and dark patches. I am hoping that dissipates with time as overall I am pleased with them. The photos are the same rug, different angles!. Brenda. Pittsburgh, PA. Wed Sep 12 2018

Very thick and soft rug! Brings added brightness to a space. Keep in mind, the top and bottom will need to be pushed down the corners, so have a heavy object or 4 to push them down :). Ben. Daniel Island, SC. Thu Oct 19 2023
