This is nice solid chair with a great MCM look. It is very comfortable and I can sit in it for long stretches working with great back support. The faux leather is soft and looks real. The color is more taupe than grey. The only negative is that the base is a hard plastic sprayed to look like wood and it chips pretty easy exposing the white plastic underneath if you hit the desk when you swivel the chair. Nice chair, comfortable and is nice looking. Vinyl is definitely not gray, more of a creamy beige. I give it four stars because one of the arms does not sit flat so it is uncomfortable to rest on.
