All the component screws Allen key and four legs were however my star rating refers to the completed construction of the chairincluded. Initially I was very pleased with the stools. However I have had these stools for 7 days now have noticed that the cane has snapped broken off on one of them on the back. I am hoping that this is not a bad sign for the future condition durability of them! This happened within 3 days of receiving them. We had the chairs now for a month and they are comfortable to sit on. The item came well wrapped and was easy to assemble. The one thing I would ask is to improve the floor protector.
