Not water resistant at all even with the woven bag inserted. Is is very flimsy and I don't think putting anything on top of the lid would cause it to break. Even though we haven't put anything on the lid many of the bamboo slats have dislodged/broke. I only use it to store water proof things like spare plant pots and I don't think it will last the year. Waste of money

Not good quality. Lots of gaps/misalignments. Our order arrived with 1 of the 4 base joints not correctly made (it was missing a tapered end which was key to fitting it together). Would not recommend.
