14 Pair Flip Down Shoe Storage

Mixed feelings on this one. I felt it was expensive for what it was...but I was willing to pay it as it was advertised as not requiring assembly (just 'installation', meaning it needed to be attached to the wall for safety). I hadn't heard anything after a few days regarding dispatch, so looked it up, and noticed the reviews mentioned it was difficult to assemble. Hmmmm. I figured it had been listed incorrectly and tried to cancel the order, as I didn't want to pay that much for a flatpack one...but then it arrived the next day before the order could be cancelled. It was here so I figured I would keep it. Assembly was OK, though you did need to have your wits about you. I can see why people found it difficult if they are not used to putting flat pack together or haven't done so for a while. Really look at Picture 1 on the instructions and make sure you know what's going on before you start. Each item has a small sticker on with a number showing which part it is - but some of them had fallen off - perhaps some of the previous customers hadn't noticed that and struggled as a result. I felt it was decent quality, but my husband put the back panels on and the wood split while he was tapping the pins in as they were soft (kept bending). Once made it does look nice. It does easily fit 14 pairs in, two per shelf. You could probably fit more in (some companies exaggerate and say you can fit more than is possible, but I feel they are fair saying this fits 14 pairs). I wouldn't have paid this price though for flat pack - there are much cheaper ones flat pack that are probably just as good.

Quality of the item isn’t great. Lots of chips and dents to the unit. Disappointingly the shelves are fixed and cannot be moved based on where you would like it.

Great colour and size for an average porch. Fits a lot more shoes than advertised! Sturdy and stylish.
