It replaces a very old and tired rail for outdoor coats etc. It went together in just 5 minutes (and would have been quicker if I hadn't set the base up upside down so the holes in the verticals were on the wrong side!). It's good and tall so takes all our coats and there are a couple of bags on the rail at the bottom. It will be easy to dismantle if I want to take it car booting ever and the little extensions at the top are good for extra things like wet coats and hats. As some reviews have said it seems a little unstable when you put it together but now it's up with the coats on I have no concerns. I'm really pleased with it.
