Actual, rating is 4.5 STARS due to lack of durable sheetrock anchors for install. If you use those provided for your install, you will not get good long term function. Love that this shelf is sturdy. The design allows for holding books or similar weighty items unlike most floating shelves. The almost 10 depth also makes it deeper than your average floating shelf. For install you will need a level and to substitute for a metal sheetrock anchor if not able to mount to a stud. You will then have a pretty and functional shelf worth the whole 5 STARS.
