Pull the line out and attach it at the other and when you are finished just unclip and let the washing line retract back into the housing unit. Good idea for a small garden. Unfortunately my bracket has been attached upside down which made installation more difficult

I brought this purely because the end is metal and the previous snapped because it was plastic. However the only way to secure the line is by wrapping around the plastic nib at the top, fingers crossed this doesn’t snap too. Still by far the best one I’ve seen!
