90cm W Steel Height -Adjustable Shelving Unit

Great shelves at a great price. Shelves are a bit lightweight as on thin msg but well supported. Would have been 5 stars but the vonhaus labels were wonky and it’s killing me! 👍

Like other customers, I found the shelves had gone mouldy having been in a cold garage (that most of us have). The frame is sturdy but be prepared to prime and paint the shelves on arrival or replace them within a year or so. I would go elsewhere!

I bought thse units to use in a garage. As others have said they are solid but don't align. I have however had problesm this winter with the wood shelves growing mouold on them. I have been back to Von Haus who provided this reply "Thank you for your email and sorry to hear of this. Mould and mildew build up occurs due to the environment, and generally most common during the winter months, untreated MDF shelving may become mouldy during this period, this is due to the damp and dark weather conditions. You may attempt to remove the mould by using a cloth and a solution of water & bleach and / or a mould and mildew treatment cleaner. This should not affect the stability or general use of the item and you should see the mould reduce, sometimes even disappear over the warmer months and after treatment. To prolong the lifespan of the shelving, in a cold/damp environment, we'd recommend you treat the MDF to protect it from dampness & condensation to prevent any further mould build up. " So the wood is not properly treated for use in this environment which is disappointing.

Middle unit arrived in a box stream with holes, and missing parts as a result. Replacement arrived with holes as well as missing pieces, so had to use parts from the first one to fill the gaps. Then comes assembly - the straight units went up amazingly easily, no issues whatsoever. Corner unit? Not so much. The height holes in the corner pieces do not line up with the holes on the straight units, so you have three units where you cannot possibly have shelves at the same height. There is no way to do that, at best you have the two outer units with the same level shelves, and the corner unit with different level shelves. Then there’s the actual assembly. The straight units slot together easily, but the corner unit does not. The pieces only went together when hammered, and even then they don’t go together properly. Plus the shelves don’t fit, and the caps on the top of the vertical posts also don’t fit. Went for a name I recognised in order to get the quality, and that absolutely hasn’t worked out.
