I have not mounted these shelves yet (I got the 2ft and the 3ft shelves) but they are beautiful and solid. The wood tone is as pictured in the listing. The detail on the sides is a nice touch.

This shelf is a solid buy. It is absolutely beautiful in person, and the packaging was well done. This would make a great gift for someone. Super easy to install and has made my bedroom complete.
