The shelf was much bigger and heavier than I had expected which I initially thought was going to be a problem because the bathroom is relatively small and the walls are essentially plaster board. They source all timber from FSC suppliers and choose reclaimed timber as much as possible. Each piece of timber is hand cut, sanded, treated, and waxed for every order. In this process they do not remove any of the timber’s natural markings, giving each piece a unique style every time. The wax is hand applied by the craftsmen in the workshop. Once applied, the timber soaks up the wax and enriches its natural features. The wax not only adds to the resilience of the shelves but also makes for easy cleaning as they are water-resistant.

I put these on each side of a picture collage that I have in my bedroom to display my purses. I love the way they look. They were easy to put together but they definitely can be a little crooked and one of them did not fit flush against the wall. It was a learning curve trying to figure out how to put them together so they would mirror each other but I finally had my daughter come in and help me after I had a meltdown.  I’m taking one star away because they were not completely straight or a flush to the wall which was frustrating because I couldn’t figure out how to straighten them without possibly breaking them..
