This heavy duty tumbling composter is an easy and efficient way to create garden compost. Ideal for turning kitchen scraps & organic garden waste into beautiful, rich compost, this compost tumbler has a horizontal rotating drum which makes it easy to turn when full. Coming flat packed, it does require home assembly. It is manufactured from heavy duty plastic and features a push-button lid locking mechanism. The tumbler should be turned regularly, for example every 2-3 days, depending on the outdoor temperature. Compost tumblers are especially effective at composting grass clippings – great for the summer months when there is a lot being produced. The temperature inside the tumbler is raised as the casing is black – absorbing heat – again, speeding up the composting process. There's even a filter tube that allows any excess liquid being built up to be drained away - remember, your compost should be moist, not soggy.

Great value. Item comes in many parts but with clear instructions on how to assemble, with small parts enclosed in bags and numbered. The composter is robust with a geared rotation making a full tub easy to turn. It also has a ratchet so that it stays in place once rotated. Two hoppers so that you can have one full and composting whilst the other is being filled. Very pleased. Good value too, a lot cheaper than most other makes but without compromising on quality.. I like the the design and the principle of operation. We just assembled and put it into use a week ago, so have not seen results yet. The composter arrived quickly but was quite difficult to assemble. The two bins seem to slide back and forth on their support shaft a bit too freely, so my husband inserted a spacer to stabilze them and make it easier to lock them into position. It would be nice to have better instructions it is not workable the steps are all over the place and kept falling apart I ended up having to put all the iron work on first to hold it together before putting top and bottom on this part is not good the metal work is just the same I will have to devise a similar method to do so not happy once made it looks good it mite last a couple years before metal work rust away..
