I love the bench! It is exactly what I need for my front hallway. Contrary to what others have said, I had no difficulty putting it together. To be honest, I considered purchasing the expert assembly, but was feeling pretty adventurous, so I dug in this morning! This was my first building project and I used only a screwdriver, a hammer, and the instruction manual. I did get tripped up with step #6 and assembled the drawer sliders backwards, but it was an easy fix at the end. Aside from that, I took my time - it took about 3 hours total because I went slow and was very deliberate, but it turned out beautiful and looks just like the picture! This an excellent quality storage bench at a great price. I purchased this as I was tired of leaving my shoes in the hallway before having to store them away in my wardrobe. Having a place in the hallway where I can pause, sit and take off my outdoor shoes before makes a big difference. I can imagine this would be incredibly useful for pet owners or families with kids who enjoy the outdoors. Theres plenty of room inside for shoes and I even keep my pop up umbrella there too which makes It hard to forget when I leave on rainy days.
