I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. This bin has replaced my waste bin, a box that I put plastic and glass in & a bag for paper & card. It has tidied up the kitchen and looks great. I bought this sensor bin to replace a similar model from another brand. The lid on my previous bin broke, and I couldn’t get a replacement. I couldn’t be happier with this trash can. I ordered a second for recycling! My old SimpleHuman can left black marks on the wall that drove me crazy but this one doesn’t touch the wall at all.
