Conventional dustbins require the user to touch them with their hand or foot to open them, which is both inconvenient and unhygienic. This automatic opening dustbin, based on infrared technology, solves this problem. Simply wave your hand above the infrared panel and the lid will open automatically, dispose of the rubbish, and within a few seconds, it will close again automatically. The automatic opening and closing control system consists of a computer chip, an infrared detecting device, a mechanical transmitting device, and an electrical drive system. It is a high-performance device, which is low in energy consumption and will give a long service life.

Our stainless motion sensor touchless can died after less than a year and we couldn’t find a replacement lid. We started looking at white cans to go with our white coastal decor. I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. I saw the Kohler step can recently and it has thicker steel, soft close, and feels quality made.. Samuel. Forest Hills, NY. Thu Feb 14 2019

It does exactly what I wanted it to do, hold food scraps in a small container in the freezer (the one I had before was too big for the narrow opening of the community food scraps receptacle). Plus, I really like the color!. Sandy. Wed Dec 06 2023
