I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. Just as I expected! We've had a 13 Gallon Brabantia for our kitchen for many years and debated on this one, thinking it might be a bit much for a bathroom. The price was right at the time I ordered and couldn't be happier with it! Also, wasn't sure of the white, but it stands out nicely. It's slender & comes about thigh high on me, and I'm 5'1".
