We lost an existing shed to a falling tree recently so we fortunately already had a base. I would not recommend building this on the ground. Needs a slab or some sort of structure. Anyhow, the shed came neatly packed in two boxes. I must admit, it was intimidating to see all of the parts and screws but they were all organized well and easy to identify. As is often the case with these types of projects, the instructions could use some help. It was a two day effort with two people. But it is up. Good value for the money. The shed arrived in two securely packaged boxes that were easy for two people to carry to the assembly site. I unpacked everything in order and confirmed that all parts were present and in perfect condition. The directions were clear and concise, and the components fit together exactly as shown. For those planning to build this, I have three recommendations to make the process easier The Overlap Rule 1.The instructions should emphasize leaving the last screw unsecured where panels overlap until the next panel is in place. 2.Elevate Your Work We used backyard tables for subassembly to avoid working on the ground, which saved our backs. 3.Plan Your Exit When installing the roof, work from the inside toward an outer edge. We kept a stepladder inside the shed to reach the top screws for the center pieces. Just make sure your final panel is one of the outside edges so you can finish the last screws from a ladder on the exterior. For the lower screws, I highly recommend using construction knee pads (I picked mine up at the local hardware store), which made the ground-level work much more comfortable. My assembly partner and I finished the entire build in about 5 ½ hours. While a novice might want a bit more detail in certain steps, we found it to be a very straightforward project. The 44 x 44 mm framing is significantly larger than standard framing giving the building immense strength. The lockable doors are fully framed and braced, they are fitted with a full-length piano hinge for added security. The high-grade shiplap cladding provides much-improved weatherproofing and longevity. The internal working height is 6 feet at the eaves providing a really comfortable working environment. Both roof and floor are of tongued and grooved pine and the floor has close spaced bearers for added support. The windows are storm resistant joinery quality frames glazed with 3 mm glass. All of the timber is sourced only from very slow grown, high grade, FSC, European pine. The building is provided with a basecoat treatment ready for top coating by the customer immediately after installation. Before you assemble your building, you will need a base which is flat and level to a sufficient size. Grass, soil or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of a building.
