While we might be quite good at putting our plastics, papers and tins in their designated recycling bins, dealing with green waste can be more of a mystery. But pop this funky vintage-style compost bin in your kitchen, and you’ll easily be able to collect up all of your old peelings, egg shells and green bits before adding them to the compost heap in your garden or popping them in to your green waste wheelie bin. With its stylish vintage design, the bin can happily take pride of place on your work top to remind you to recycle more often. As it comes complete with its very own pedal mechanism, it’s also suitable for use on the floor, giving you the flexibility to work out what’s best for the space you have. And, if you’re worried about filling your kitchen with nasty compost pongs, don’t be. The compost caddy comes complete with an odour-absorbing carbon filter, to keep things smelling fabulous.

Good product. Matches well with my other bins. However, when on worktop, the lid shuts before you put your compostables in. You need one hand to prop the bin open and the other to put your compost in.. Mira. Orpington, GB. Tue Feb 03 2026
