The piece of furniture in itself is really nice. However, I do advise everyone to check it for flaws before putting together as we didn't (an error of judgement on our part) and only noticed after putting it together it had a tear in the fabric. Also the fitting to attach the gas spring on the lid was at a ninety degree angle. The fitting was fortunately able to be fixed. Maybe better packaging would have helped. I was expecting the buttons on top to be covered in the same fabric as the rest of the ottoman as per the online photo. Instead shiny glass-like buttons have been used which makes it look a lot less elegant, which is unfortunate as it was not an inexpensive purchase.
