Conventional dustbins require the user to touch them with your hand or foot to open, which is both inconvenient and unhygienic. This automatic opening dustbin, based on infrared technology, solves this problem. Simply wave your hand approximately 10cm above the infrared panel and the lid will open automatically, dispose of the rubbish and within a few seconds, it will close again automatically. The automatic opening and closing control system consists of a computer chip, an infrared detecting device, a mechanical transmitting device and an electrical drive system. It is a high-performance device, which is low in energy consumption and will give a long service life.

Very good as a bin, the automated open/close can be a bit annoying as the sensor is very sensitive, but otherwise no issues.. Anthony Stuart. Manchester, United Kingdom. Sat May 30 2026

Had this a little over a year. Unfortunately the sensor has stopped working. Was a great bin for the first year, just what I was looking for. Sadly none left in stock so cant replace. Will now look for another one.. Clair. Wallasey, GB. Wed May 10 2023

The EKO Horizon is a perfect choice if you require maximum waste storage and have limited space. It is a large-capacity motion sensor bin, with an interactive display. It has fingerprint-proof brushed stainless steel. No inner bucket, allowing for full use of the large 45L capacity.

Great product, the only issue is that the battery runs out very quickly. I still prefer this to manual dustbins. G. London, GB. Mon Jun 22 2026

Very pleased with the bin. You have four blue lights that light up and then they go off one by one to let you know when the bin will close. You can also wave your hand in front to make them go back up so the lid stays open longer or press the buttons on the side to open or close. One of the blue lights flashes on and off when not in use.. Susan. GB. Sat Jan 15 2022

It’s a nice bin and very useful having 3 compartments but it is awkward to empty. I use the large top section for recycling as I have more of that, then the other 2 for general waste and soft plastic for recycling separately, but the large bin is bulky and awkward. Maybe could do with a removable liner otherwise the whole bin has to be taken down the garden for emptying!. Penelope. Chatteris, GB. Sat Jun 20 2026

This stainless steel bin opens automatically via sensor technology, and will close its lid five seconds after the disposal of rubbish.

Trash separation made easy: This rubbish bin swallows all waste without grumbling and keeps it odour-proof inside. The Klarstein Touchless rubbish bin has a generous interior of 72 liters, with a large container of 43 liters and two separately removable 12.5-liter buckets. Bulky recycling waste, residual waste, and paper can be separated as soon as they are thrown in. The suspended 4-liter bucket with a lid is particularly practical, in which organic waste can be perfectly accommodated and provided with additional odour protection. When the bag is full, it can be easily removed and stored in the appropriate bin outdoors. You don't need to touch the bin to put rubbish inside - the automatic sensor opens the lid automatically, as soon as you pass within its 20cm detection range. Simply throw your rubbish in and the lid will close itself automatically, five seconds later. If required, the lid can also be opened and closed again at the push of a button. Indicator lights on the control panel show the current status of the sensor and the battery level. The 12.5-liter buckets are located in a roller-mounted drawer, sliding back and forth with a handle. It also looks fantastic: Its brushed stainless steel body is not only elegant but also fingerprint-resistant. It always makes a shiny impression from the outside. Simply cleaner: The Klarstein Touchless rubbish bin with sensor opening impresses with its elegant figure.

Very good quality. All trash can be disposed of tidily without having numerous bins. Perfect!. Janis. Riedenburg, DE. Wed Feb 21 2024
