I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. I saw the Kohler step can recently and it has thicker steel, soft close, and feels quality made.. Samuel. Forest Hills, NY. Thu Feb 14 2019

I truly like this trash can. Having a two receptacle can makes it so easy to sort garbage from the recyclables. The compact size was the primary attraction since this can fits into a very specific space that could not be enlarged. I have removed a star since this is a really expensive solution that requires even more expensive "special" trash bags.. Susan. Somerville, MA. Fri Mar 15 2019

The simplehuman stainless steel rectangular pedal bin features an innovative 'liner pocket' that stores and dispenses liners from inside the bin for a faster liner change. The stainless steel liner rim grips the liner and keeps it hidden. And with no inner bucket, there's more space for rubbish. Strong wide steel pedal is designed to last, and our patented lid shox technology ensures a smooth, silent close every time. Code Q liner refill packs store perfectly in this bin's liner pocket.

I love this trash can. The white color, and sleek and minimal design make it feel less like a trash can and more like a decorative item, which is great for a small studio where you can’t really hide the can.. Jason. Los Angeles, CA. Tue Apr 23 2019
