I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. I couldn’t be happier with this trash can. I ordered a second for recycling! My old SimpleHuman can left black marks on the wall that drove me crazy but this one doesn’t touch the wall at all. This bin is a good size. It takes the large black bin bags perfectly. It’s a lovely matte black which I was looking for (not shiny plastic) It feels quite sturdy and has a good swing lid. Tip…inside the rim of the top when you receive it, there’s a small piece of plastic which sticks out preventing the lid from swinging during transport. Very pleased with the bin. You have four blue lights that light up and then they go off one by one to let you know when the bin will close.
