I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. Love this bin !! Just what I needed. I’ve eliminated two bulky bins to this lovely sized one. I use the top bin for recycling and the two smaller ones for general waste. Needed a bin with large capacity that fits in a very small area in my kitchen. This was the only bin I could find online that fit the width I needed with a large capacity and I’m so glad it comes with other benefits like the no finger prints and germs feature. Our stainless motion sensor touchless can died after less than a year and we couldn’t find a replacement lid. We started looking at white cans to go with our white coastal decor. We weren’t sure how we were going to like this one because you do have to touch the top to open it, and we weren’t sure about the black lid. We were VERY pleasantly surprised! We love this can.
