Looks flimsy when all the parts are taken out of the box, but once assembled it stands up well (in all senses of the phrase). Sensor function works very well and is very satisfying to use. Would be five stars but the bin is on the pricey side, and the protective film covering the metal sheets is very fiddly to remove.. Gideon. Dorset. Wed Apr 08 2026

I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. I saw the Kohler step can recently and it has thicker steel, soft close, and feels quality made.. Samuel. Forest Hills, NY. Thu Feb 14 2019

Dual compartments make it easy to neatly sort your rubbish and recyclables in one convenient, space-efficient place. On one side, an innovative liner pocket stores and dispenses liners from inside the bin for a faster liner change. The other side has a convenient handled bucket for easy lifting and disposal of all your recyclables. A stainless steel liner rim grips the liner and keeps it hidden. The strong wide steel pedal is spring-loaded for a smoother stepping experience. Patented lid shox technology ensures the lid closes slowly and silently every time. The bin's stainless steel surface is protected by an invisible silver-ion coating that resists fingerprints and germs. Simplehuman Code H custom fit bin liners fit this bin perfectly - and stored neatly in the bins liner pocket.
