The Emma Original Classic is a 25 cm deep all foam mattress with a gently cushioning, hugging feel and balanced support underneath. Three layers of foam work together. MemoryAdapt foam at the top moulds to your body and distributes weight evenly to ease pressure at the shoulders and hips, while the SupportBase layer below eases strain and holds you up without letting you sink. Foam cutouts at the shoulder and hip zones let the surface flex where the body puts the most pressure, cradling the joints rather than pushing back against them, which makes this mattress particularly suited to side sleepers. The foam also absorbs movement naturally, so a partner turning over or getting up is less likely to wake you, and it is engineered to hold its form through years of nightly use. The cover is fully removable and machine washable at 40 degrees. The Emma Original Classic has a medium feel and comes with a 100 night trial and a 10 year guarantee.

During sleep, your body naturally creates more pressure around areas such as your shoulders, hips and lower back. This is why comfort begins with a material that can respond to your body's shape. The mattress uses 40kg/m³ Memory Foam, a high-density memory foam layer designed to gently contour around your body and help distribute weight more evenly for a more comfortable sleeping surface. But comfort alone is not enough. A mattress also needs to support you as you move. As sleeping positions change throughout the night, materials need to respond quickly while maintaining balance. Beneath the memory foam, 30kg/m³ Reflex Foam provides a responsive transition layer, helping the mattress recover naturally and maintain consistent support. The foundation beneath these layers plays an equally important role. Without a durable support core, the comfort materials above cannot perform at their best over time. That's why the Balance Memory Foam Mattress uses EcoFoam, a high-density support layer created by repurposing premium polyurethane foam. It provides the stability needed for long-lasting performance while supporting a more considered approach to material use. Comfort also begins before you reach the foam layers. The mattress is finished with a soft bamboo non-quilted cover and manufactured in the UK using carefully selected materials.

For everyday practicality, the soft, skin-friendly Top Bubble Cover is removable, making it easier to keep the mattress fresh and clean. The silent all-foam construction contains no springs, helping minimise noise when your teenager moves during the night. Manufactured in the UK to high-quality standards, this durable mattress is an excellent choice for teenagers looking for firm, supportive and cooling comfort, whether for everyday sleep or accommodating friends at sleepovers.

At the base of the mattress is a 7-inch layer of firmer Reflex Foam, providing a stable and durable foundation while supporting key areas of the body, including the back, shoulders and hips. Above this sits a 1-inch layer of next-generation visco-elastic memory foam, which gently adapts to the contours of the body to provide cushioning and help relieve pressure throughout the night. The responsive foam construction also helps absorb movement across the sleeping surface, making it a practical choice for couples where one sleeper may move or change position frequently during the night. With an overall depth of approximately 8 inches (21cm), the mattress is finished with a luxurious straight-line micro-quilted top panel. A contemporary dark blue and grey 3D breathable border encourages airflow through the mattress, helping moisture and excess heat escape to create a fresher and more comfortable sleeping environment. Hypoallergenic and anti-dust mite materials help promote a cleaner sleeping surface, making this mattress a practical choice for everyday use. For convenient delivery and easier handling, the mattress is compressed, vacuum-packed, rolled and boxed using modern in-house compression technology. We recommend unpacking the mattress within 7 days of receipt. As vacuum-packed mattresses do not feature reinforced side supports, prolonged sitting on the edge of the mattress is not recommended.
