Inspired by Antonio Verrio’s 17th-century murals seen at Hampton Court Palaces’ Little Banqueting House, this design brings baroque artistry into your home. The delicate bow motif can be seen throughout the palace, from the interiors to the court dress collection. Embroidered in a warm natural shade onto a 200-thread-count cotton percale base and finished with a knife edge to add subtle elegance and style to any bed linen collection. Available in sizes: single set, double set, king set and Super king set. Set includes duvet cover and 2 pillowcases (Includes 1 pillowcase with single set). Pillowcases available to purchase separatly include two in a set. Inspiration: The Painted Room at the Little Banqueting House is an explosion of colour and gilded extravagance. It is typical of the baroque love-affair with creating an illusionistic three-dimensional interior space, open to the sky, overpainted onto coved ceiling and walls. Dominating the room are the painted murals of Antonio Verrio, with elaborate and flamboyant gilding work by Peter Cousen. Each scene is presented as if it were a framed painting, surrounded by garlands of flowers and bows within a carved architectural setting.

Romantic and timeless, Victoria Sprigs recalls a young Queen Victoria’s 1843 floral embroidered silk dress, highly fashionable of the time. Newly married to Prince Albert, the design is steeped in elegance, perfect for creating a space that recalls stories of royal romances. Soft tones of rose pink and opal are paired with earthy greens, embroidered onto a classic 200-thread-count cotton percale base and finished with a refined knife edge finish. Available in sizes: single set, double set, king set and Super king set. Set includes duvet cover and 2 pillowcases (Includes 1 pillowcase with single set). Pillowcases available to purchase separatly include two in a set. Inspiration: Inspired by a dress worn by Queen Victoria c1843, of ivory silk satin with cream gauze overlay and embroidered panels of flowers and leaves executed in silk and metal threads in satin stitch. Queen Victoria gave her dress as a gift to the interior decorator, John Gregory Crace (1809-89), for his wife Sarah Jane Hine Langley (1815-94). This was in gratitude for his role in the Great Exhibition of 1851, which he collaborated on with her husband, Prince Albert. For Sarah Crace to receive such a personal gift from Queen Victoria must have been a great honour and token of friendship.

This is beautiful looking bedding but sadly I’m returning as it just isn’t exactly as I thought. The imagery shows lovely tie side pillowcases but actually they aren’t part of the set which is fine however each of the pillow cases has a huge ‘historic royal palace’ label stitched on the front which isn’t shown in the photos and ruins the item. This label is also at the based of the duvet cover. I can’t be sure it will remove and not leave holes/marks so I’m returning the bedding. Embroidery is lovely, it’s a very cute set and I have found you can buy the tie side pillow cases separately if you want them.. Rebecca. Clydebank, GB. Fri Sep 18 2026
